Unit 8 Dolls Fun time&Cartoon time

一、教学目标
1. 能尝试运用He’s/She’s …. ; His/ Her……is/are…等句型介绍别人或自己;
2. 能够听懂、会读、会说、熟练运用单词fat, short, thin, tall等形容词;
3. 能理解朗读课文,并能表演,
二、教学重点和难点
重点:
1. 能运用He’s/She’s …. ; His/ Her……is/are…等句型介绍别人或自己
2. 能够听懂、会读、会说、熟练运用单词fat, short, thin, tall等形容词;
难点:能用句型和所学单词熟练描述别人
三、教学过程
Step1 Warm up
1.Let’s play a game
T: Let’s play a game named Simon says.If I say “big”,you say “small”.
2.About me and you
T: I’m Miss Chen.
I’m 25.
I’m very tall.
My eyes are big.
Also my nose.
My ears are small.
My hair is long.
What about my mouth?
It smiles for miles.
What about you?(Teacher says one sentence, students to imitate.)
3.Review:
Introduce our two old friends: Girl doll and boy doll.
Teacher shows the pictures and evaluate atudents to say more about the dolls.
4.Introduce your good friend
Students can describe her/his eyes/hair/nose/mouth/ears.Also, students can use other sentences like :Her/His coat/ T-shirt/ trousers are/is...(colour)
Step2 Fun time
1. Introduce my friend--snowman.(Teacher can draw a snowman on the blackground)
T: Her head is big, her body is fat,she is all white...Who is she?
S: Snowman!
2.Listen and draw
Teacher let one student come to the blackboard,and teacher describes the features of the snowman:Her mouth is very big.
T:Can you describe the features of the snowman?
<One student describes and one student to draw, other students try to describe the snowman.>
3,Let’s design
T:Design your dream snowman.
(Group work: stick each part of snowman into the snowman. Try to describe it one by one.)
Step3 Cartoon time
1.Look and guess
T:Look at the two big eyes, guess who is he?
S:He is a robot.
2.Try to ask
Can you...?
3.Watch the cartoon
If you are the snowman, I ask you and you answer me
① Can you talk?
② Can you jump?
③ Is he short?
Step4 Let’s read
1. Read after the tape
2. Read together/in roles/after one

1. Read the passage three times
2. Describe your doll to your parents.
