一、 教学目标
1、能听懂、会说、会读、会写What does he/she do?
2、能听懂、会说、会读、会写He’s/She’s a teacher/writer/factory/worker/…;
3、能听懂、会说、会读writer, at home, sick, people, factory, cook, driver, farmer, policeman;
二、 教学重、难点
句型:What do you do? 和What does he/she do?及其回答I’m/He’s/She’s a …
词汇:sick, factory, writer, people等词的读音; teachers, has, write, work, doctor, help, worker, nurse, does;

Step1 Warming-up
1、歌曲热身,引入单元话题
教师和学生跟着音乐,一起唱学生用书三年级上册Unit4My family中的歌曲Family, 来引入本单元话题。
2、头脑风暴,复习词汇
教师组织学生开展“头脑风暴”,以游戏的形式复习有关家庭成员类,体貌特征类,学校科目类和兴趣爱好类等词汇。教师先给出一个单词,然后要求学生说出一个同类的单词。本活动以小组接龙形式进行。
T:Father
S1: Mother/brother/sister/aunt/uncle/grandpa/grandma …
T: Chinese
S1: English/Maths/Science /Art/Music/PE …
T: Small.
S1: Short/long/thin/fat …
T: Sing.
S1: Dance/skate/read/play the piano/play football/swim/watch films/play basketball …
Step2 Presentation
1、T: Look. He’s in a bus. What can he do?
Ss: He can drive a bus.
T: (在黑板上书写drive和driver) Right. He can drive. He’s a driver.
Ss: He’s a driver.
T: This man has a book. He’s in a school. Miss Li and Mr Green are his friends. He can help students. He can teach. He’s a teacher. (在黑板上书写teach, teacher和student)
Ss: He can teach. He’s a teacher.
T: This is Liu Tao’s grandpa. What does he have? Remember?
Ss: He has a farm.
T: Right. He has a farm and he’s a farmer. (在黑板上写上farm和farmer)
Ss: He’s farmer.
T: Look. This man has a tool. He can repair cars. He’s a worker. (在黑板上写上work和worker)
Ss: He’s a worker.
2、要求学生观察driver, teacher, farmer, worker和其对应的动词形式,引导学生认识词缀-er。 引导学生认识另外一个新词汇writer, 让学生猜其词义。
3、问答活动,教授目标词汇

4、利用目标词汇图片,教授新句型
5、师生问答,操练新句型和目标词汇
6、观看动画,理解课文大意

Step1 Warming-up
Greetings and free talk.
Listen and write some words and sentences.
Check the answers.
Step2 Presentation
T: Look at the pictures, who are they? Please guess.
S: They’re Mike and Su Hai.
T: What are they talking about? Please watch the cartoon.
Ask and answer the questions, then fill the forms:
Mike’s father-a teacher, teaches English, has a lot of students
Mike’s mother-a writer, writes stories, works at home
Su Hai’s father-a doctor, helps sick people
Su Hai’s mother- a factory worker, makes sweets
Teach the new words: teacher, teach, a lot of, writer, write, work, doctor, help, sick people, factory worker
Read the new vocabulary.
Teach: What does … do?
Listen to the tape and notice the pronunciations and intonations.
Read after the tape.
Try to read this story.
Choose one kind of reading and read in groups.
Read this story together.
