Today, my teaching material is from unit5 6B, Oxford primary school English. One week ago, I taught this lesson. The English experts from Nanjing listened to my lesson and offered me some useful advice about the design of the lesson. Therefore, I adjusted the procedure of the lesson. This time, I focused on‘Group work’presentation. In step2, when the students did‘ask and answer’, they cooperated with each other. Later, when they retold the characteristics of the four seasons in New York,they cooperated with each other in groups. At the end of the lesson, I asked them to make a dialogue according to the passage. I also used ‘Group work’ to show their comprehension and the application of the text.
The second lesson is taught by Pan ling. The material is also from unit5 (BCD). Miss Pan used free talk, enjoyment of the pictures and the song to lead in. The students learnt the words of four seasons and the characteristics of them. Later, the students learnt how to ask about the weather. When the children got tired, the design of‘quick response’can encourage them think over and relax .Since then, the students did ‘ask and answer’ of part C, in this process,Miss Pan was a good guider. At the end of the lesson, a short passage about the weather of Changzhou was used to check the application of the words and the sentences they learnt today. In one word, this lesson focused on training of the words and sentences about the seasons.
